I had the pleasure of shooting Andrew and Jasmine's senior photos the other day. I've known Andrew for most of his life. His family lived next to ours for many years. I just met his girlfriend Jasmine at the shoot (not something I normally do, but this shoot was a bit different then others).
I would not usually shoot two seniors at the same time, but this was a unusual circumstance. Having known the Williams family, they asked if I could include Jasmine in the photo shoot. There was a time restraint and based on both of our schedules, this was going to work best.
Marietta Square in Marietta GA, is a great place for a large mix of different photo styles and ideas. Everyone agreed and we were set for an exciting morning.
Marietta Square on a weekend, in one word, is, crazy. No, I really mean crazy. They host a farmers market and craft market and this particular weekend, a 5k. We arrived at 8:30 on a Saturday, and it was packed.
So the challenge is to isolate the seniors and try to make the most interesting photos that can be made. Using the gazebo in the square is easy, it's up higher then the rest of the square. The fountain is much more trickier, because you have a groups of people continuisly moving through the square.
Overall, this was a great shoot and we all had a fun time, even with all of the chaos of the square. It is something that creates a great memory after it is over and you can enjoy for photos for a lifetime.
